There are two different worship services at St. George’s each week:
8:00 AM – Contemplative Communion
- This service is a quiet spoken Holy Eucharist. This is a Rite II service from the Book of Common Prayer. Those who attend this service tend to describe it as an opportunity for contemplation and silence in the midst of community.
10:00 AM – Main Communion
- This service is Holy Eucharist with music. The service (or liturgy, as Episcopalians like to call it) tends to be energetic and upbeat. The music could be piano or guitar, from the Hymnal 1982, Lift Every Voice and Sing II, or Gather. This is a lively service that is designed to be engaging of adults, children, and teenagers. It is meant to be inviting to those who have never been to an Episcopal church before and nourishing to those who claim the Episcopal church as their home.
