Warm Clothing Drive

warm-clothing-driveThroughout the month of November we will be holding a warm clothing drive to help the Prince George’s County School System meet the needs of newly arrived immigrant and refugee children who do not have clothing appropriate for our winter weather. You can help by contributing coats and jackets, new or gently used and clean, as well as hats, scarves, and gloves. The students range in age from 5 to 20, so sizes youth small to adult large are all welcome. Donations should be placed in the bin in the narthex. In addition, the school system would welcome Target gift cards which they can use to purchase other items students might need such as boots, socks, and uniforms. Target cards will be available for purchase during coffee hour and may be given to Donna or Randy Haselton or Peggy Alexander. Thank you for helping us support these new Prince George’s County students!

The Soul Searchers present PRODIGAL The Musical: Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 11:45 AM in Miller Hall.

The Soul Searchers present PRODIGAL The Musical: Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 11:45 AM in Miller Hall.

At approximately 11:15 AM, following our 10:00 AM service this week, we’ll be hosting an indoor Pot Luck Picnic in Miller Hall to join in fellowship and welcome the Soul Searchers choir before their 11:45 AM performance of PRODIGAL The Musical.

Please bring a dish to share that fits the picnic theme – main dishes, sides such as potato salad, green salad or fruit salad fit the bill, as do desserts like cookies and browniesanything that brings that summertime vibe indoors with a variety of BBQ and Picnic style items.

If you have any questions about what to bring for the Pot Luck Picnic or the show in general, feel free to contact the office or ask Connie+.

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all for the Pot Luck Picnic and the Soul Searchers performance this Sunday!
