We at St. George’s understand that faith is a lifelong journey of discovery, trust, and understanding. On our journey we are enriched by the opportunity to share with one other. In our community, we value the opportunity to study and share in a supportive environment. Our spiritual formation and education classes, led by the rector or by church members, offer many ways to explore the resonance of our faith in our daily lives.
A constant in our formation program is the weekly Adult Forum which meets on Sunday at 9:00 AM. Over the year a series of three to six week programs focuses on topics relevant to Christian living. We’ve studied the parables of Jesus, the miracles of Jesus, the Beatitudes, the history and theology of the Episcopal Church, religions of the worlds and the Book of Common Prayer. Participants are encouraged to suggest discussion topics.
Special programs focused on spiritual growth and discernment are offered several times over the year, particularly during Lent and Advent. These evening series have included a year long scripture program called The Story, as well as programs that invite us to deepen our spiritual life. While the program formats vary they always provide opportunities for positive interaction, growth, and enlightenment.
