Did you know that 10% of the Metro Washington population is food insecure?  Give to the FOOD DRIVE AT DIOCESAN CONVENTION .

In addition to our congregation’s regular food assistance, we have the chance to use our collective strength as a Diocese to provide for hungry neighbors all around the region.  As part of the January 25 Diocesan Convention, we are holding a food drive.  We’re collecting non-perishable foods that will be distributed through the Capitol Area Food Bank. Each church in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington is being invited to gather food that the clergy and lay delegates will carry to the Convention. We’re requesting dried or canned beans; canned salmon, tuna or chicken; low-sodium canned vegetables; low-sugar canned fruit; 100% juice in any size container; hot or cold cereal; peanut butter;  rice, pasta or macaroni and cheese; and healthy snacks. Please bring items to church on Sundays, the 12th and 19th of January. Thank you!
