Interested in more opportunities to help others, or to work on improving the world, or at least our little part of it? We’ll be discussing our on-going programs, such as the Gaywood food program, and discussing issues that may be important in the next Md. legislative session, including education initiatives and improvements in the justice system in Maryland. You can join in the planning, or just take the opportunity to learn what the Justice League does. Want to know more? Ask any Justice League member.
Get ready to party Saturday, December 7, when St. George’s will hold its annual St Nicholas party from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in Miller Hall. This is a long-time tradition at St George’s, and is always a time for fun, food, and fellowship for all ages, not just kids. Perhaps, as in the past, St. Nicholas will pay us a visit. A sign-up sheet is in the hallway for you to volunteer to assist with set-up, clean-up, decorating, food, and/or crafts. Make sure to sign up if you and your family will be attending so we can order enough pizza. The party is free; however, in the spirit of St. Nicholas, we ask that you bring a warm winter hat, scarf, or gloves to be given through St. George’s outreach to children or adolescents who need them. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Tim Dangel (410-271-4312 email@example.com ).
The Intermediate and High School Sunday School groups will be picking out a tree for the St. Nicholas party on Friday, December 6th, at 6:00pm at the Bowie Lions Club. It is located at the corner of Belair Drive and Route 450 – across from the Bowie Library. We will then transport the tree to St. Georges (thanks to the help of Jack Croft and his truck). Then we will set up and decorate the tree. Liz Beal will be providing music and cookies, and if any students or parents want to bring cookies or snacks to share they are welcome to
