Emily Charlton is working toward her Girl Scout Silver Award; the second highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Her project is to coordinate the collection effort for pajamas for the Casey Cares Foundation. This foundation arranges outings and activities for families of critically ill children. These children spend lots of time in hospitals, so the foundation has launched its Kami’s Jammies drive to collect pajamas for the kids. Emily is spearheading the effort at her school, with her Girl Scout troop, and here at St. George’s. The drive is going on now and will go until April 16th. The goal is to collect 200 pairs of pajamas — new, 2-piece pajamas in sizes from infant to adult. (There is a greater need for boy’s pajamas at the moment). If you can find it in your heart and wallet to donate a pair or two of pajamas to this effort, it would be most appreciated. There will be a box in the Narthex. Thank you for your generosity.
