The longest night of the year comes shortly before Christmas, and for some of us, the holiday season feels like one very long night. We are often told we should feel joyful and happy as we celebrate Christmas, yet some of us have experienced personal losses or have sorrows that make celebrating feel like a chore or otherwise beyond our reach. As an offering of prayer that aims to capture some of those feelings, we are having a “Blue Christmas” service on Thursday, December 20th at 7:00 pm. This service will be offered in partnership with Trinity Moravian Church and will be held at St. George’s. Feel free to invite anyone you know who might appreciate this service; all are welcome.
