The St. George’s Sunday School program starts up on Sunday, September 9th at 9:00 am. There are classes for PreK/Kindergarten, Primary age, Middle School, and High School and all children and youth are invited and encouraged to participate.
As part of the next phase of the visioning process, the Visioning Team is hosting a conversation about St. George’s ministry to Children, Youth, and Young Adults, following the 10:00 service on September 9. If you are interested in the topic and would like to participate in the conversation, please come! All are invited to share your thoughts and passions about this subject.
Throughout August, we will be holding our annual School Supplies Drive for students and teachers at Gaywood Elementary School. As you may know, the list of school supplies that students are expected to provide gets longer each year, yet some families simply do not have the funds to buy these supplies. In addition, tight school budgets mean that many teachers must spend their own money for basic supplies. Each year we collect items for students such as pens, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, highlighters, scissors, composition books, construction paper, glue sticks, graph paper, white board markers and erasers, and backpacks, as well as printer paper for the teachers, and hand soap, hand sanitizer, and tissues. Donations may be left in the bin in the narthex. Thank you for supporting the students and teachers at Gaywood and for helping us get them off to a great start to the new school year!
