Blue Christmas Service — Thursday, December 21st at 7:00 pm

December 21st is the longest night of the year, and for some of us the holiday season can feel like one very long night. As an offering of prayer that aims to capture some of those feelings St. George’s will be offering a Blue Christmas Service in partnership with Trinity Moravian Church on Thursday, December 21st at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to join in this reflective service of grief and hope.

Blue Christmas Service – Thursday, December 21st at 7:00 pm

December 21 is the longest night of the year, and for some of us, the holiday season feels like one very long night.  We are often told we should feel joyful and happy as we celebrate Christmas. Yet some of us have experienced personal losses or have sorrows that make celebrating feel like a chore or otherwise beyond our reach.  As an offering of prayer that aims to capture some of those feelings, we are having a “Blue Christmas” service on Thursday, December 21 at 7:00 pm.  This service will be offered in partnership with Trinity Moravian Church and will be held at St. George’s. All are welcome.

Advent Quiet Morning – December 9th @ 8:45 am

Advent Quiet Morning Saturday December 9

On Saturday December 9, there will be an Advent Quiet Morning offered to anyone who would like to participate.  The season of Advent is also the run up to Christmas, which means it is often a busy and chaotic time for people.  The Quiet Morning is a time out, a time apart, a time to step out of the noise and to breathe deeply the gifts of the Advent Season – a time of waiting, of anticipation, of appreciating the dark in anticipation of the coming light of Christ. The Quiet Morning begins at 8:45 am and ends at noon on December 9, and all are welcome.
