St. George’s ECQ Group Meets Tuesday, February 17

Enjoy interesting books and thought-provoking discussions? Then the new St. George’s ECQ (Explore, converse and question) may be just your cup of tea. Join Connie and others for a monthly group that meets Tuesday mornings. We’ll explore spirituality by reading memoirs, spiritual autobiographies and other narrative works that challenge us to ask questions and consider spiritual issues in new ways. The first meeting of St. George ECQ group will be Feb 17, 2015 from 10-11:30 am, and the group will meet at St. George’s on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Our first book will be Pastrix, the Cranky Beautiful Faith of a Sinner and a Saint by Nadia Bolz Weber. The author is a Lutheran pastor whose book challenges us to embrace the outsider, recognize the welcome Christ offers to everyone, and consider our own expectations about how others express their faith. The book is available in paperback at most bookstores and online booksellers. Pick up a copy, read it before we meet on the 17th, and come join the discussion. Please indicate your interest on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex so we’ll know you are coming.
